labor day

Yesterday we took a pass on the annual family state fair day to do stuff around the house and, well, cease from our labor. We gave the dog a bath, picked up fermenting apples in the yard, watched a movie (or two), read. Heavenly!
I dozed off during Masterpiece Mystery Theatre, and Mauri shared my catnap with his friends on Facebook. I figure it’s only fair, since I freely share pictures of him on a regular basis.
Like this one. Which I included in a Facebook album of 131 nostalgic pictures taken of VBS and Sunday school, etc, at Newberg Friends Church as far back as the ’60s. (Take a look!) So all day yesterday, I read hundreds of comments and tags my Facebook friends made on the pictures. It was a well-attended party, and I didn’t have to even comb my hair.
