oscar’s parents

We timed our visit to meet Oscar to coincide with his parents’ 7th wedding anniversary so that we could offer our childcare services for an evening of celebration. Being new parents, they might rather have stayed home, but they accommodated our wishes and went out to dinner and a movie.
I didn’t actually ask permission to photograph—and post—their gifts to one another, but I found them so sweetly romantic… What can I say? I’ll at least explain that their wrapping paper is stowed in the basement, thus their Plan B wrapping agreement. You probably don’t care about that, but they might.
Since John and Rachel were so attractively attired when they left, I hoped to snap a few family shots. But Oscar was a bit out of sorts, so we will wait. Meanwhile, I thought I’d offer these two pictures to prove that we generously allow them to hold their son from time to time.
