weekend at the coast

I just returned from spending the weekend at Twin Rocks Friends Camp with nearly forty women from my church. I focused too much time on enjoying myself and not enough time on taking pictures. But oh well. Here are a few I did take.
The smiles on my friends represent the leading score of the George Fox Lady Bruins in an Elite Eight game played against Hope College (in Holland, Michigan, my old stomping grounds) in Kentucky. The Bruins won with a 12-point lead, maintaining their undefeated season and moving them to the Final Four. It’s a pretty big deal around these parts.
We did projects! Paula and her niece Fairlight made jewelry…
…while knitting needles, crochet hooks, and embroidery needles kept hands busy.
The camaraderie of a group project always makes me smile.
Thankfully we had a sweet baby to pass around.
We played a group game of Cranium (Can you interpret this sculpture?)—our team won!
And a good time was had by all.

thanks so much for taking pictures, Sherry. They are great as usual! You all got in place for that group picture so quickly… I was very impressed! (o:

What great pictures Sherry. I’m not sure if mine “represent” so well. I’ll post on facebook soon. It was fun to have you there. I have one more special thing to tell you about the weekend. But remind me to tell you in person.
