My cousin forwarded an e-mail saying that cell phone numbers will soon be released to telemarketing companies, and we will start to receive sale calls. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the national DO NOT CALL list and blocks your number for five years. You need to call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked.

I did this years ago with our land line, and it made a big difference. I recommend it! Unless of course you like sales calls.

    Whether it’s an urban legend or not, I’ve already been getting some telemarketing calls on my cell–mostly just the pre-recorded kind. But not enough to actually go look up the “Do not call list” number. So thanks, Sherry, I’ll have to do that, too!

    I tried to find info on snopes.com before posting it and couldn’t. So I risked it. I figure no harm done.

    Hi just registered our cell phone, just in case it’s true. Thanks, Sherry. 1/2 hour ago on WFUR’s Hymn’s by Request, I heard you sing!!! Wonderful.
