While I was in Ohio for some Evangelical Friends-related meetings, I stretched out my travels by one day to visit cousin Helen Katherine. I thoroughly enjoyed attending her Sunday school class and worship service and meeting her friends the Torneros, who invited us to dine at their large table.
H.K. enjoyed showing me the results of the training she’s given her young flat-coated retriever, Hansel.
Staying two nights in the bedroom my aunt Helen once occupied sure was a treat. My cousin has kept quite a bit of Aunt Helen’s charm in place.
I could comfortably read Pride and Prejudice by her reading light before falling asleep.
And these crocheted baby dolls remind me that I still have the one Aunt Helen made for me when I was young (so very long ago).
Here’s something else that reminded me of the good old days.
Enjoy it while it lasts!
