day one - nyc

Posted by Sherry on June 11, 2008

In some regards our first day was uneventful. We don’t fly to New York City via Los Angeles every day, but then it’s not a very notable adventure either.

But then this happened!

And then this happened!

As we walked into the LA airport from our plane, there stood Mauri’s first cousin Greg Macy. We were all equally astonished and enjoyed a quick catchup conversation before we went our separate ways.

And then this happened!

Without so much as a second thought, I told the flight attendant I’d like a Coke. Not such a big deal, you say? It was for me, since I’ve been fasting from any fizzy drinks for the past ten years. Every sip stung my throat deliciously, its oversweet glorious flavor reminding me why I had become hopelessly addicted and why I had to quit.

Now to climb back on the wagon.
