matching

Combining the contents of three computers into one gave me the perfect excuse to sort my digital pictures—files and files and files and files of them, and many of them duplicates. I have an eye (and love) for a good series, so consider this a warning that I’m going to feel compelled to post some of my favorites. Where to start? Where to start?

Fifty or sixty or so years haven’t changed little Mahlon Maurice and Sharon Elaine all that much, have they?

  1. Wow, check out the hair on that list pic of Mauri–move over Elvis!

  2. And in that last pic of Sherry! I love old photos :)

  3. I think our souls connect yet again. I am a HUGE fan of old pictures. Someday I hope my great-grandkids get as much of a kick out of seeing my face in an old scrapbook as I do when I look at pictures from my families (or anyone’s-actually) history.

When we went to Texas last summer I spent a few hours on the couch with Alan’s grandfather. He pulled out picture after picture and told me stories. NOW, we had been smart we would have been video taping the whole thing. But I was too enraptured in the moment. The story of peoples’ lives and the photos that capture those memories. Precious.
