weekend

While cousin Helen Katherine is between dogs, she’s flying here and there from her home in Columbis, Ohio, to visit family. This weekend was our turn to show her our exciting life in Oregon. Someone must have been praying for good weather. If it was you, thanks!

When we walked in the door at Tillamook Cheese Factory we heard live music. Right there in the dining area was a full youth orchestra on tour from Idaho. Well…that doesn’t happen every day!

The weekend held lots of highlights. One in particular happened during family dinner show ‘n’ tell when Erin held up a letter from her editor at McGraw-Hill that offered a contract on her book, tentatively titled See Each Shot Before You Swing. We are so excited for her and proud of her.

At Pete’s turn he unfolded a surprising creation: a screen he machine sewed with magnets on all edges to use on the skylight of the car when he and Linsey go camping this summer.

Our kids never cease to amaze me.
What? Pete knows how to sew?
