vicarious disappointment

Dusty and Bailey attended tonight’s World Series game. I’m watching the sportscasters interview the coaches and team players following the game while I type this. My mind’s eye sees our boys slowly filing out of Coors Stadium, having watched their beloved Colorado Rockies lose the fourth game of the series—a sweep. At least they’re not alone there in their disappointment.
