family reunion
Posted by Sherry on July 19, 2007
Nine years ago Mauri and I hosted our first Nill family reunion out at Rockaway Beach Harbor Villa. Since then we’ve reunioned in Palm Desert, CA, and Kiawah Island, SC. The three-year hosting cycle returned to us, so we gathered last week at Harbor Villa for some family togetherness. Nill was my dad’s name, and since our parents attend in spirit only, their children—my brother, John; my sister, Carol; and I—make up the oldest of the three generations that came from three of the four corners of the country and the middle as well.
You can thank me later for not boring you with stories of our exciting adventures. Instead I’ll add some pictures and you can guess whether or not we were having fun.

The white hankies brought alot of joy to my morning. It is so neat to see all of you together.

Ah, so much fun! There’s some wonderful pictures here, Sherry. From the gum, to the sun, and the bird… And, of course, the smies on all the faces in the big group shot.
Thanks, Alan. The gum picture has “hidden” meaning because to his grandchildren Mauri is “Gum.” I’m “Gus.” They stand for Grandpa Mauri and Grandma Sherry. So I named that picture “Gum on Gum.”
Mauri – are those PARTY PANTS in picture #5??? SWEET
