i’m so happy!

Several weeks ago at team meeting it was my boss’s turn to choose the check-in question: If we had $500 and were required to spend it on ourselves only, what would we buy? Easy! I’d buy one of those really cool Zoomboxes by Hasbro (Pete and Linsey have one) that shows movies on the wall or ceiling and I’d spend the rest on movies. Well, turns out my dear man was paying attention. Later, as I was telling the story about the check-in question, Mauri got the idea to buy one for my birthday, which is coming up. Wanting to surprise me, he ordered it from Amazon and had it shipped to his brother’s house. Since he ordered it from my account he quickly went to my computer to snatch and delete the confirmation e-mail. A day or so later the shipping notice arrived in my e-mail and the cat was out of the bag.
It arrived today! I’m so happy! I tried it out by playing a DVD of my dad at age 68 telling the story of sevens. I know that means little to you but I just stood there grinning at the wall. Here’s a picture of my new cool gadget.
I know, I know…now you want one too. Better hurry, they’re not easy to find.

^^ Me thinks it is not clear that that is a good “Mmmmm” sound like the sound one might make thinking about a juicy raspberry or a Krispy Kreme doughnut. ^^
