I think Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ought to add a phrase: a time to brag.
Our son-in-law John, married to Rachel, just finished his junior year at Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts. He won 3 awards this year: the Thouron Open Media Award (faculty-judged); the Print Center prize, a 3-year membership to the Print Center Philadelphia; and a new endowed award, the James N. Sentz Award, which honors printmaking achievement (he is the 1st recipient). At a preview party of the Annual Student Exhibition last week guests spent up to $275 to “buy first.” At that party John sold two of his highest priced pieces. Our son-in-law Dusty, married to Quinn, exceeded the sales requirement with his company, CMiC, to win a $25,000 vacation. So they’re heading for a resort in Mexico for a week in September—and they’re going alone, which for me means a whole week to enjoy the company of my youngest grandchild [youtube][/youtube]—Cassidy.
