It was a day worth celebrating…so we did.
Guests brought the entertainment: a joke. So we laughed a lot and the birthday boy was honored. Welcome to your 60s, dear man. It’s not so bad, is it?

You look mah-ve-lous, Mauri! Not a day past 50, I’d say. Count me as one of the many people whose life you have blessed. I will always remember your story during choir practice of your school bus driving days in college when your warm-up startled awake a sleeping stow-away.
