getting the boot

Posted by Sherry on May 26, 2006

Today in the doctor’s office my red cast came off, revealing…well, I’ll spare you the particulars. It wasn’t a pretty sight. To me, anyway. The doc said it looks great and I guess I can take her word for it. She’s seen her share of freshly uncasted limbs. I started to get reacquainted with my left foot. It doesn’t look much like the foot I once knew so well…the one that closely matched my right foot. The bootbest part is my graduation into an air boot, which also means I get to retire the crutches. Freedom! I practically skipped out to the waiting room and was surprised to see that my dear man (a.k.a. Mauri) had come to share the moment, even had the camera ready to take this lovely shot. Quite a fashion statement, wouldn’t you agree?

  1. GORGEOUS…I fully expect to see a full line of these new boots on the Paris runways! So glad to hear the crutches are gone and that the doc thinks all looks well. Hangest thou in there, you’re almost home “free”! xxoo Ridge
