blowout - part 8

Today was my red-letter day—RED being the operative word! I went into the doctor’s office fully decided to leave in a black cast. After all, black is my color. But when the doc and her assistant saw the cute and colorful “castlet” my friend Lisa made for me, they would hear nothing of putting a black cast on me. I complied, joyfully.
She adjusted my crutches, gave my sore shoulder a cortisone injection, cheered me with “you’re doing great” words, and told me I have osteoporosis . We’ll work on that in the days to come. Right now I’m ever so thankful to have moved on to Stage Three of this process. Thanks for your creative expressions of care and concern for Mauri and me the past two weeks. We feel blessed!

What a beaut! So glad to hear you’re healing up well and starting *the* latest fashion trend in cast-wearing goods: you multi-tasker.
red! a fine choice for a cast…how many weeks will you be sportin’ this look?
What a great model you are! It looks great with red - so glad to see you branching out color-wise!
