newbie thoughts

So who’s reading this anyway? In the proliferation of these personal/public forums that has been the source of some wonderment—that and the time investment represented in all this writing/reading. Sometimes I’ve wondered who the writer thinks is reading and how that affects the process. Other times it’s been astounding to notice the evident assumptions about who isn’t, uh…paying attention. So who’s reading this anyway? You can let me know if you like, but in any case it’s my intention to keep it short, and mostly light…kind of like we’re just talking.
I’m reading but only on occasion. I check bloglines a time or two a day which may or may not accurately show who is writing. If it looks like bloglines isn’t working well (as it hasn’t been lately) then I have three or four blogs I’ll make the effort to go read. If you write fairly often or you’re getting interesting comments, you might be one of them! Short is nice. Conversational is good. I’m looking forward to ‘hearing’ what you choose to share with your public.
Well, I was introduced to your website today. And have just begun to peruse your pages. It’s fun to see people’s thoughts on the web. Although I am new to blogging, it is a fun way to stay semi-connected with friends and family. My Blog is at blog.MySpace.com/emidor.
Hi! You’re bookmarked amd will be watched listened to. Blogging in tandem is an interesting approach.
Hi Cuz’s
Janet told me of your new web site. How fun to peek in on your amazing thought life. Smiles to you both. I’ll be checking back in before too long. Keep on biking–Bart & Phil say they would like to attach two big bungee cords to my bike to speed me up a little when we go biking! Love to you all.
Good to see you up and “riding”.
I plead guilty as charged to astounding you with assumptions about who is NOT reading my blog…
I’m reading. I find reading friends’ blogs very interesting because blogs are great at revealing the thoughts people have when they’re left to themselves, thoughts that aren’t prompted by conversations with other people.
If that doesn’t make you self-conscious I don’t know what will
Hey y’all,
Sherry let me know that this was up and running yesterday! Way cool as the Sehomeites would say! This should help alleviate my Newberg/Mauri/Sherry withdrawal symptoms which will only proliferate as graduation day draws near!
So here’s my question for the day: philosophically speaking, is “adventure” a noun or a verb? I just finished reading ODYSSEUS’ LAST STAND: CHRONICLES OF A BICYCLE NOMAD by Dave Stamboulis which chronicles his 6 year bicycle tour around the world. Quite an adventure albeit an armchair adventure for me. Up until now I thought most of my adventures occured through the pages of books, but it occurs to me that “adventure” is really a mindset as well as a set of actions. So I have a running dialogue going with friends over this topic! Any thoughts?
Love you, Ridge
I’m reading, but you probably knew that since I blew your blog-cover. Excited to see where this takes you and you lovely co-administrator.
I’m reading. I am excited to keep up on your adventures.
